Pyth Network (PYTH) supplies market prices to financial apps, with revenue funding purchases of its governance token.
Its September report put paid subscriptions at an $11.5 million annual pace, up 10.6% from August, and announced approval to distribute Nasdaq's U.S. stock data. Pyth's council reported buying approximately 2.58 million PYTH in September. A newer approved framework directs eligible receipts toward purchases without another monthly vote; bought tokens stay in its reserve, rather than being burned.
At approximately $550 million market cap, PYTH could benefit if paid financial-data demand sustains larger purchases. Reported fully diluted valuation is approximately $698 million using 10 billion tokens. Douro Labs reported transferring $553,693 to the project treasury on October 5; received funds are not completed buybacks. October and early-November revenue and purchase reports offer coming-weeks tests. Purchases remain modest, and May 2027's scheduled releases could expand circulating supply. Slower sales, concentrated holdings, data outages, contract failures and changeable purchase rules remain risks.
Opinion: PYTH could offer a potentially undervalued financial-data opportunity if subscription growth sustains reserve purchases through its coming monthly reports despite supply releases and execution risks.
